CAMPAIGN "BUY ONE HECTARE OF AMAZONIAN FOREST"
Due to the fact that private property is respected, is possible to avoid the destruction of the Rainforest by multinational companies and other interested people, through the purchase of hectares of the Amazon forest by private owners.
We think that Nature should not have owners, but we consider this as a provisional measure until the states and private owners agreed to a bigger number of areas to be conserved (for example virgin forest) or to be exploited using the principles of sustainability.
If you want to purchase some hectares of forest, please fill the application form below.
The purchase of ½ hectare to 100 is considered as a donation and you will have the right to:
- Satellite photography of the hectare/s.
- Placing of the zone with the U.T.M. Coordinates.
- Personalised diploma which specify the compromise of the buyer with the defence of the amazon forest.
- The right of the buyer to be a participant in the activities of volunteering in the nearest eco-village in the zone.
The buyer of more than 100 hectares of Amazonian Forest has the same rights and advantages than the former case, and in addition he could propose to SOS amazonia-Accion Verde different activities or projects of sustainability inside the hectares he/she bought. Both parts have to be in agreement for carry out any project.
